ICELAND ICE AND FIRE

Je suis parti 2 fois en Islande: Une première fois en 2016 pendant l’hiver. Je suis parti me perdre dans le froid et le brouillard dense islandais pour mon premier voyage en solitaire. Cétait une expérience au contact des éléments mais surtout au contact de moi-même. La deuxième fois en été 2021 j’ai aimé redécouvrir certains lieux comme le village de Vik. Mais cette fois je suis parti dans le but premier de voir le nouveau volcan apparu dans la région de Reykyans. Au final j’ai été encore plus au contact des éléments, de la glace et du feu, de la roche noire. Pour moi l’Islande est une terre rude traversée de mythes d’un âge sombre. Le décor parfait pour bon nombre de films et séries fantastiques.

I went to Iceland twice: The first time in 2016 during the winter. I got lost in the cold and dense Icelandic fog for my first solo trip. It was an experience in contact with the elements but above all in contact with myself. The second time in summer 2021 I enjoyed rediscovering certain places like the village of Vik. But this time I went there with the primary goal of seeing the new volcano that appeared in the Reykyans region. In the end I was even more in contact with the elements, with ice and fire, with black rock. For me, Iceland is a harsh land crossed by myths from a dark age. The perfect setting for many fantasy films and series.
